CORPORATIONS

The vast influences corporations have on society today are to numerous to document. There are many reasons these organizations are problematic, but none are more impactful than the laws governing the actions of corporations. Corporations are considered in many jurisdictions to be "legal persons" whereby they are recognized under law as a separate entity from their members. An entity with "legal personality" has the privilege of shielding its members from personal liability for anything that occurs due to the actions of the corporation. Therefore, corporations are able to act with virtually no regard to the safety and well-being of the public because none of the members will legally be held accountable for any negative impact the corporation might have on the world at large.
